The Newcastle Lord Mayor’s Arts Scholarship, established in 2004, nurtures young talent studying in the arts at TAFE NSW. It also recognises the City of Newcastle’s commitment to cultural development.
The scholarship provides financial support to TAFE NSW students experiencing economic challenges while studying art, music, drama, dance, or writing related courses. One scholarship worth $1,000 will be awarded, with the possibility of up to five deserving students also receiving $200 each.
The scholarship cultivates creativity and innovation within the local arts community offering a unique opportunity for aspiring individuals to develop their artistic talents.
