Excited about a career in the Information Technology (IT) industry? The Strategic Group Scholarship provides students with valuable real-life industry experience and a salary while working towards their qualifications.

Offered by the Strategic Group and delivered by the Hunter TAFE Foundation, this scholarship is open to eligible students enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, Maitland or Glendale.

Founded in Newcastle in 1989, the Strategic Group is an Australian IT company that has expanded nationally. They offer businesses dynamic IT solutions to help clients grow and achieve their goals.

Applications for the Strategic Group Scholarship close at 5 pm (AEDT) Friday, 6 March 2026.

To apply for the Strategic Group Scholarship, you must:

• be enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, Maitland or Glendale
• be aged 35 or under at the time of application
• be available to work one day per week with the Strategic Group during the semester
• demonstrate commitment to your studies and career goals (e.g. by listing achievements, an action plan, or key skills)
• demonstrate positive academic values to represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation (e.g. through grades, attendance, or character traits)
• not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation in the 12 months prior to 20 March 2026.
