Excited about the prospect of studying and working in the Information Technology (IT) industry? The Strategic Group Scholarship provides students with valuable real-life industry experience and a salary while working towards their qualifications.

Offered by the Strategic Group and delivered by the Hunter TAFE Foundation for eligible applicants enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220), and studying at a TAFE NSW campus in Newcastle, Maitland, or Glendale.

Newcastle-based Strategic Group launched in 1989. Since then, the Australian IT company has expanded nationally, offering businesses dynamic IT solutions to assist clients in growing and achieving their goals.

Applications for a Strategic Group Scholarship is now closed.

To apply for the Strategic Group Scholarship, you must:

• be enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, Maitland or Glendale
• be aged 35 or under at the time of application
• be available to work one day per week with the Strategic Group during the semester
• demonstrate commitment to your studies and career goals (e.g. by listing achievements, an action plan, or key skills)
• demonstrate positive academic values to represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation (e.g. through grades, attendance, or character traits)
• not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation in the 12 months prior to 20 March 2026.
