Apply now for a Walkom Education Scholarship

    Support while you study

TAFE NSW Early Childhood Education and Care student supports a young child during hands‑on play‑based learning at a water sensory table, guiding the use of measuring cups and colourful funnels while educational play equipment and chalkboard activities are visible in an outdoor learning area.

Are you studying an early childhood education course at a TAFE NSW in the Hunter Region or Central Coast this year? Do you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander? If so, you can apply for the Walkom Education Scholarship.

Valued at $1,000, each successful applicant will receive $500 upfront and $500 once their course of study has been completed within 18 months of the original scholarship.

The Walkom Education scholarship is awarded to one student every semester, to support their studies in early childhood education. Established by Walkom Real Estate in Newcastle and delivered by the Hunter TAFE Foundation, this scholarship has an immediate impact and supports long-term career aspirations.

Applications for the next Walkom Education Scholarship close at 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday, 2 September 2026.
