    During your study you'll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:

    • a general construction induction card (white card) before entering a construction site. You can get your white card during the course or through a TAFE NSW campus that offers this service with an accredited assessor. Visit the Service NSW website for more information.

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • moderate computer skills to work with complex software and spreadsheets

    • good communication skills

    • an eye for detail

    • access to a computer or laptop to complete study at home

    • Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills at a Year 12 high school level.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 11 units of competency, including 6 core and 5 speciality units.
