use basic arithmetic. Work with fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages and convert units for workshop tasks
use simple algebra. Solve engineering problems, change formulas and find unknown values
work out shapes and sizes. Find angles, areas, perimeters and volumes for fabrication and machining.
use trigonometry. Work out lengths, angles, slopes and gradients in designs and layouts.
solve step-by-step manufacturing problems. Use arithmetic, algebra and geometry to find answers.
