    During this course you'll learn to:

    • use basic arithmetic. Work with fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages and convert units for workshop tasks

    • use simple algebra. Solve engineering problems, change formulas and find unknown values

    • work out shapes and sizes. Find angles, areas, perimeters and volumes for fabrication and machining.

    • use trigonometry. Work out lengths, angles, slopes and gradients in designs and layouts.

    • solve step-by-step manufacturing problems. Use arithmetic, algebra and geometry to find answers.
