Begin your barber journey with the first of two short courses. Build skills, confidence and passion as you learn essential hair-cutting techniques. Ideal for beginners, school leavers or career changers.

What you'll gain
Learning outcomes
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
create a simple line drawing to show the shape of a finished haircut
draw a haircut plan with sections and partings
talk with clients about what they want, their lifestyle and hair care needs
use freehand clipper techniques to cut hair safely and smoothly
keep yourself and clients safe from infection
set up work areas and follow workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
