    You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:

    • Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking). You’ll need to show your certificate or transcript as proof.

    • Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Cyber Security. You’ll need to show your certificate or transcript as proof.

    • Recent industry experience working in the networking, cloud architecture or cyber security. You’ll need to show your resume and a letter from your employer.

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • access to a desktop PC, laptop or equivalent computing device and a strong internet connection

    • commitment and drive to manage a heavy course load

    • adequate time to complete course work and additional study outside of class hours.

    Traineeship

    • You must be employed as a trainee in the industry.

    • Your Apprenticeship Connect Australia Provider (ACAP) must submit your Training Proposal Plan (TPP).

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security AND Cloud Architecture) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 20 units of competency, including 6 core and 14 speciality units.
