Be employed in the information technology industry as this course is delivered in the workplace
Have a signed traineeship contract

Experience working with computers
Confidence working with different software programs
A Certificate III in Information Technology - this is not a requirement but can be an advantage
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level

For students under 17
If you’re aged between 15 and 17 years old, you can enrol at TAFE NSW, however you may need to supply some additional information, for example:
Your Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or that you've completed Year 10 or an equivalent course.
If you’re homeschooled, your Certificate of homeschooling registration.
Parent or guardian consent.
You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.

Studying on Campus
Learn in person, on a TAFE NSW campus. Depending on your course, your classroom could include purpose-built spaces like art studios, mechanical workshops, laboratories or bakeries. When you study on campus, you will receive a timetable of when you need to be on campus to attend.
