    The academic year at TAFE NSW has 2 semesters and each semester has 2 terms with breaks between. Your academic calendar helps you plan your study and stay on track throughout the year.

    Below you can find important dates for:

    • all TAFE NSW students
    • certificate and diploma courses
    • higher education courses
    • English language courses

    Key calendar dates for all TAFE NSW students

    Public holidays and student non‑attendance dates apply to all TAFE NSW students, including international and domestic students.

    Student non-attendance dates

    No classes will run during the following non-attendance periods:

    • 19 January - 1 February 2026
    • 22 June - 5 July 2026
    • 7 - 13 December 2026
