    Academic calendar 2025 for international students

    The academic year at TAFE NSW has two semesters. Each semester has two terms with breaks in between.

    Your academic calendar helps you plan and stay on track with your studies at TAFE NSW.

    Below are important dates for:

    • all TAFE NSW students
    • certificate and diploma courses
    • higher education courses
    • English language courses.

    Key calendar dates for all TAFE NSW students

    Public holidays and student non-attendance dates apply to all TAFE NSW students, including international students, no matter their course.

    Student non-attendance dates

    No classes will run during the following non-attendance periods:

    • 20 January - 2 February 2025
    • 23 June - 6 July 2025
    • 8 - 14 December 2025

    Certificate and diploma courses
