Enrolment variations

Find information on study extensions, suspensions, withdrawals and cancellations. You’ll also find the right forms and procedures to change course, campus or education provider.

Use the Extension of Study Form [PDF 158 KB] to apply for an extension to your course duration. TAFE NSW only approves extensions in some circumstances. You must have a valid reason for needing an extension.

Use these forms to apply for a temporary break from your studies. TAFE NSW only approves leave in compassionate or compelling circumstances.

Complete the Suspension of Study Form - English Courses if you’re an international student currently enrolled in an English course at TAFE NSW.

Complete the Suspension of Study Form - Vocational Courses if you’re an international student and currently enrolled in a vocational course at TAFE NSW.

Complete the Withdrawal and Interruption Application Form - Higher Education Courses if you’re an international student and currently enrolled in a higher education course at TAFE NSW.

The International Student Management Procedure includes information about temporary suspension of your studies.

If you’re currently enrolled as an international student and want to change to a different course at TAFE NSW, you’ll need to submit a Transfer into Another TAFE NSW Course Form.

We’ll make a decision based on your eligibility and whether a place is available in the course.

If you’re currently enrolled as an international student and want to change to a different TAFE NSW campus, submit the correct form based on your course type:

• Transfer of TAFE NSW Location Form - Vocational Courses
• Campus Transfer Application Form - Higher Education Courses

Approval depends on course availability.

The Transfer of Education Provider Form is for international students seeking to transfer to another education provider.

Transfers must meet the conditions in the ESOS Act 2000 and National Code 2018. Read our [International Student Transfer of Education Providers Procedure PDF 217 KB for more information.

Complete the Cancellation of Enrolment Form - English courses if you’re an international student currently enrolled in an English course at TAFE NSW.

Complete the Cancellation of Enrolment Form - Vocational courses if you’re an international student currently enrolled in a vocational course at TAFE NSW.

Complete the Withdrawal and Interruption Application Form - Higher Education Courses if you’re an international student currently enrolled in a higher education course at TAFE NSW.
