WDO - Intro

At TAFE NSW, we offer Work and Development Orders (WDOs) to help you pay off fines issued by Revenue NSW.

TAFE NSW offers educational, vocational, and life skills courses. As an approved sponsor through Revenue NSW, you can develop new skills while paying off your fines at a rate of $50 per hour to a maximum of $1,000 per month.

Who can apply for a WDO?

To apply for a WDO with TAFE NSW, you will need to be enrolled in a TAFE NSW course and meet the eligibility criteria below:

  • You are currently receiving a Centrelink benefit (not including the Family Tax Benefit)

OR

  • You are experiencing acute economic hardship

If you are enrolled as an apprentice or trainee, TVET student or as part of the mandatory conditions of a court order, you are not eligible to apply for a WDO.

What evidence is required?

If you currently receive a Centrelink benefit (not including the Family Tax Benefit), you will need to complete a TAFE NSW Work and Development application form and provide us with supporting documentation as follows:

  • Proof of ID (Driver’s License, Medicare card, Proof of Age card)
  • Confirmation of Enrolment or invoice from TAFE NSW
  • Centrelink Income Statement (dated within the last 4 weeks)

If you do not currently receive an eligible Centrelink benefit but are experiencing acute economic hardship, you will need to provide us with supporting documentation as follows:

How to apply

  1. Complete the relevant TAFE NSW WDO application form/s
  2. Gather the required supporting documentation
  3. Submit all documents to the Customer Service staff at your local campus or email all documents to wdos@tafensw.edu.au
