Entry requirements

Some courses require evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.

  • Successful completion of all core units in the Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate, or

  • Significant industry experience that will provide you with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for all core units in the Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication, or

  • Two years equivalent full-time relevant work experience, as evidenced by a copy of your resume

To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

  • To successfully complete this course you should have:

    • regular access to a computer with reliable internet connection
    • good digital skills to confidently navigate through your online learning program and undertake online research
    • good time management skills
    • organisational skills to take responsibility for following your timetable, and managing your study schedule.
  • You will need to demonstrate skills in some assessments. This will require you to organise and participate in a number of role plays which you may be asked to video-record and submit for marking. You will need to:

    • have access to recording equipment such as a camera or smart phone
    • source adult colleagues, friends or family members who are available and willing to participate in your recorded role plays.
  • Please note, TAFE Digital does not provide participants for your role plays. Please be aware that recordings will be retained by TAFENSW for audit purposes.

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:

  • 1-2 years of experience working as part of a team

  • Good computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Access to recording equipment such as a smartphone or camera with a video function

  • The ability to record and store both videos and images

  • Good communication skills to express ideas in writing and verbally

  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level

  • TAFE NSW may ask you to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test.

  • This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs, to design an individualised plan that supports your study success and ensures your LLN skills match the demands of the course.
