    Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

      • Minimum 280 hours work placement in a regulated Education and Care Service

    To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

    • This part-time night course (18 months) is 2 days per week program of 56 delivery weeks. This generally is across 6 school terms with term breaks. It would be best suited to a learner who is able to commit to 2 days per week on campus and/virtual classroom study. If this does not sound like you, we have other delivery options that may better suit you. Learners will require regular access to, and have the ability to use a computer and internet. This could be either be your personal device or can be accessed to your local campus. We look forward to supporting you in reaching your career goals. Classes will commence and run-in accordance to the current Public Health Orders.

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 , including 12 core and 3 speciality units.

    Course deliveryCombination study

    Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

    Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
