This course is an intermediate, practical course, focused on levelling up your game development skills as this course builds on skills from the Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games. You will create real, functional games as part of your course. The software and skills are taught by current developers from the industry who are passionate about games. The main games engine used is Unity. Besides learning how to develop and produce games, you will also learn project management and professional skills related to games.
On completion, you can articulate into university, or continue to our "Incubator Program", which is the the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media focused on Game Development. In Advanced Diploma we will help you create a more professional level game and pitch it to industry.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Information Technology (Game Art and Design) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 20 units of competency, including 6 core and 14 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
