Find the key policies, procedures and forms you may need throughout your time as an international student at TAFE NSW.
The Australian Government wants international students to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding study experience in Australia. Australia is one of the few countries to enact laws that ensure quality education and consumer protection. These laws are known as the ESOS Framework, including the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code 2018.
The ESOS Act requires that all educational institutions that train international students are registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). CRICOS registration guarantees that the course and your study provider meet the standards necessary for overseas students. The TAFE NSW provider code on CRICOS is 00591E and all our programs and courses offered to international students are registered on CRICOS.
If you want to learn more visit the Department of Education and Training – ESOS Legislative Framework.
Find key procedures and forms for international course application and enrolment. Get credit or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for previous study and understand additional requirements if you’re under 18.

These policies apply specifically to international students and reflect the requirements of the ESOS Act 2000 and National Code 2018 which protect your education and welfare in Australia. They help ensure quality education, support and fair treatment during your studies in Australia.
