Auto Electrical apprentices are using the practical skills they are learning at TAFE NSW to change the lives of Australians affected by the recent bushfires, thanks to a new collaboration with Team Rubicon Australia.

Kirsten Fitzpatrick, who completed a Certificate III in Community Services at TAFE NSW Dubbo in 2018, was announced as the winner of the prestigious Career Pathways, Aboriginal Languages and Employability Skills Student of the Year and VET in Schools Student of the Year at a gala awards ceremony at Lazy River Estate.

Mark Woodhead, who completed a Certificate III in Electrotechnology at TAFE NSW Dubbo in 2018, was announced as the winner of the Infrastructure, Energy and Construction Student of the Year at a gala awards ceremony at Lazy River Estate.

Jeremy Kenny, who completed a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation at TAFE NSW Lithgow in 2018, was announced as the winner of the prestigious Health, Wellbeing and Community Services Student of the Year at a gala awards ceremony at Lazy River Estate.
