Apprenticeship

• Be employed as an apprentice in the industry

• Register with an Apprenticeship Connect Australia Provider (ACAP) who will support your application

Non-apprenticeship

• Non-apprenticeship pathways for trade-related qualifications allow you to have your industry skills assessed through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and undertake gap training to gain a trade qualification. To take this course as a non-apprenticeship, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age, as evidenced by photo identification

• Have at least 2 years of work experience in this occupation or trade, as evidenced by employee records such as your resume and/or letters from your employers

• Be currently employed in the relevant industry, as evidenced by a letter from your employer

• licensed Aircraft Mechanical Engineer (LAME).

• Completion of an online Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment equivalent to a Level 4

• A current Class 1 Australian Flight Crew Medical Certificate

• An Aviation Reference Number (ARN)

• An Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC)

• Completion of a Flight Experience Package with our third-party provider at an additional cost

• commercial airline pilot

• commercial pilot for organisations like Royal Flying Doctor Service

• commercial pilot for charter businesses

• ground theory instructor.

• Must attend a pre-screening interview to assess suitability and commitment

• Be at least 18 years old by week 52 of the course so you can undertake the CPLA Flight Test

• A current Class 1 Australian Flight Crew Medical through Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Aviation Medicine

• A current Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)

• Meet requirements for an Aviation Reference Number (ARN) and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

• Must meet Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) levels of Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) 4 and above

• That you are able to attend a pre-screening interview to assess your suitability and commitment
