Overview About this course
This course is for Certificate of Competency holders without qualifying sea service. Qualifying sea service is at least 12 months in total during the preceding 5 years before application, or 3 months in total during the preceding 6 months prior to revalidating. Find out more about AMSA's sea service requirements on amsa.gov.au An AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) Revalidation is the mandatory requirement for revalidation of the CoST Certificate for those without the required sea-time. (Done every 5 years) The CoST Revalidation Certificate issued will be recognised by AMSA as meeting the International requirements. The following certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course: - Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-2), and - Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-1).
