Brett Graham Scholarship

This prestigious culinary scholarship was established in 2003 as a partnership between TAFE NSW and the Hunter Culinary Association and is named after one of our most successful alumni, Brett Graham.

After completing his apprenticeship with TAFE NSW, Brett Graham moved to Sydney to work with Liam Tomlin at the highly acclaimed Banc Restaurant. During this time he was awarded the Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year Award, which resulted in his move to the UK.

He is currently Head Chef of Michelin-starred restaurant The Ledbury, which was voted as the 14th best restaurant in The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2016.

Highly passionate about his craft and proud to be alumni, Brett has been providing Hunter chefs the opportunity to work with him at The Ledbury through his scholarship.

Valued at over $10,000, the Brett Graham Scholarship includes a return flight to London and travel assistance for the recipient. The Scholarship also includes the opportunity to work with Brett himself at his Notting Hill Restaurant, as well as enrolment into the Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery at TAFE NSW.

TAFE NSW are proud to partner with the Hunter Culinary Association to present both the Brett Graham Scholarship and the Front of House Rising Star Award, and with First Creek Wines to present the First Creek Wines Front of House Scholarship.
