This is a part time day blended course. You will need to attend approximately 10 hours of class, over 1 day week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 10.5 hours of other study per week.
You may also be required to complete approximately 2.5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including Private study, Moodle, textbook, online videos, assignment preparation.
** IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU? **
The course is aimed at those who wish to work or those who are currently working in the community and/or residential setting and seeking a qualification. Many of the learners are International students. Learners present from a variety of different backgrounds and ages.
Must have completed Cert III Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) .
There are no specific entry requirements for this course but there is a screening literacy and numeracy assessment. All students will be required to complete an online enrolment. Each student will be required to complete 120 hours of practical experience in an accredited Aged Care facility.

This course is currently scheduled on Thursday from 9:00am to 4:30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
