    Attendance is Monday evening using web base applications, attendance is required. In addition, there will be 15 x 2 day workshops over eighteen months. (Friday and Saturday) dates to be advised. Workshop participation is mandatory.

    • To be enrolled in this course, students must be working in the Community Services industry in a position aligned to the skills and knowledge of a Diploma level qualification or be deemed as a student suitable to complete Diploma through previous experience. For students seeking to pathway from Certificate IV Community Services Credit Transfers will be organised with the teacher and attendance in class for those UOC not required.

    • To successfully complete this course, you will need TO Complete all requirements outlined in the training package, attend online class, attend all 2 day workshops, complete practical and theoretical assessments to deem competency in all units. Have access to a computer with a good internet connection to participate in connected delivery for weekly sessions online with the teacher.

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Counselling qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 17 units of competency, including 13 core and 4 speciality units.

    Course deliveryCombination study

    Learn through a combination of classroom based, online and/or workplace activity. For example, you may participate in scheduled classroom activity, have an element of self-directed learning with online content, and/or receive supervised training while on the job, doing work experience, or on placement.

    Classroom activity will be scheduled, but online learning can provide more flexibility. Teacher support will be provided for all study. Access to a computer with an internet connection is required.
