ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
TAFE NSW offers Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying) as an apprenticeship. There may also be options for you to study as a non-apprentice.
Apprenticeship
To be eligible for this course, you must:
- Be employed as an apprentice in industry as evidenced by a letter of support from your employer
- Submit your Training Plan Proposal (TPP) with your application

COURSE SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS
During your study, you will need to meet requirements to complete your coursework.
Your teacher will let you know when you need to provide evidence of:
- A valid general construction induction card (commonly known as a white card)
WORK PLACEMENT
There is no work placement requirement for this qualification. As an apprentice, youll gain experience with your employer.
If you are enrolling as a non-apprentice, you need to be in relevant employment or have access to simulated workplaces to meet the completion requirements.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a variable, combined course. You must attend approximately 3 hours of class. You may also be required to complete approximately 10 hours of additional study. This additional study could include private study, work placements and research.
The course will run variable for 2 years.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
