Do you want to build a career in construction?

The Lighthouse Club Australia Scholarship supports young students who aspire to work in the construction industry but are facing educational or financial challenges.

In 2026, one scholarship valued at up to $2,500 is available for an eligible student studying the Certificate IV in Building and Construction at:

• TAFE NSW Ultimo
• TAFE NSW St George.

Applications for the Lighthouse Club Australia Scholarship are now closed.

To apply for the Lighthouse Club Australia Scholarship, you must:

• be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen living in NSW (refer to the Terms and Conditions for eligible visa types)
• be aged 25 years or younger
• be enrolled (or intending to enrol) in the Certificate IV in Building and Construction at TAFE NSW Ultimo or TAFE NSW St George
• be new to the construction industry (i.e. starting your career)
• demonstrate educational or financial disadvantage (e.g. personal circumstances affecting your access to education)
• explain how the scholarship funds will support your study and career goals.

TAFE NSW offers a range of support services for students, including free and confidential counselling.

To arrange an appointment with a counsellor, call 131 601 and select Option 5, then Option 2.

You can also use this number to access Disability Services or request a referral to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student support.
