Skills for Education and Employment (SEE)
The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program offers free training in reading, writing, English, maths and digital skills to enhance your employment prospects. Training is delivered at TAFE NSW. The SEE Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. Who is the SEE Program for?
We can help you if you:
- are from a non-English speaking background and would like to get better at reading, writing, maths and digital skills, or
- are of English speaking background and need extra support to improve your reading, writing, maths and digital skills.
You can start at your own level, learn at your own pace, and choose training based on your needs and goals. You can learn in the classroom, in the workplace or remotely.
Eligibility criteria
You are eligible for the SEE Program if you are:
- an Australian citizen, or
- a permanent visa holder, or
- on a provisional or temporary visa with working rights and eligible for the Adult Migrant English Program, or
- a Pacific Australian Labour Mobility visa holder.
And also if you are:
- aged over 15 years and left school, and
- need help with your reading, writing, maths, English language or digital skills.
For Employers, Industry Associations and Unions
Employers, industry associations and unions can utilise the SEE Program to improve the skills of employees through workplace-based training.
How do I join the SEE Program?
To join the SEE Program you can:
- contact us directly, or
- if you are with an Employment Services Provider (for example, Workforce Australia), you can ask them for a referral to the SEE Program at your local TAFE NSW campus.
