Knowledge assessments: short answer, extended response, research tasks, multiple-choice questions, assignments.

Practical skills assessments: demonstrations under observation.

Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

To complete this course, the following materials are required:
Computers are provided for those classes where you are learning about software
It is recommended that you have your own laptop capable of running industry standard software( Adobe creative cloud)
Subscription to Adobe creative cloud will be provided
Some materials and resources for printing and producing project work are provided onsite

A certificate IV in Design (graphic) or equivalent study or work experience is a pre-requisite for entry into this course.
Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Design (Graphic) or its equivalent as evidenced by a of your certificate or transcript
Diploma Portfolio submission of design works contain 6-10 pieces of work. These works will demonstrate your range of skills, both creative and technical, and include a variety of formats in both print and digital media incorporating type as well as image
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Graphic Design qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 19 units of competency, including 9 core and 10 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
Learn in person, on a TAFE NSW campus. Depending on your course, your classroom could include purpose-built spaces like art studios, mechanical workshops, laboratories or bakeries. When you study on campus, you will receive a timetable of when you need to be on campus to attend.
