Early Learning at TAFE NSW Children’s Centres
TAFE NSW welcomes families to take advantage of our on-site childcare services. This early childhood education and care service is available to students, staff and the public.
Our care meets National Quality Framework standards, and we welcome children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

The best start in life
TAFE NSW has 14 inclusive Children's Centres across NSW. These centres provide long day care and a welcoming space for children’s learning and play.
Our approach to early learning
All TAFE NSW Children’s Centres follow the National Early Years Learning Framework.
This framework focuses on:

Our play-based programs spark your child’s imagination in a safe, positive space where they can learn and play together.

Our facilities
TAFE NSW Children’s Centres have shared spaces where children of different ages can play together safely.
Our facilities include:
- babies' rooms
- infant and toddler rooms
- preschool rooms
- outside play areas.
When children play together, they learn how to get along with others. This helps them build confidence and empathy, as well as important social skills like sharing and taking turns.
Before enrolling your child
Before you enrol your child at a TAFE NSW Children's Centre, it’s good to be aware of a few things that may affect your childcare planning decisions.
There are some key things to know:
- Centres have limited spaces, especially for children aged under three years.
- To apply for a place, you’ll need to provide your child’s up-to-date immunisation history statement.
- Depending on demand for places at your chosen centre, your child’s application may go on a waitlist.
- Offer of a place for your child is not held open past an acceptance date, set by the centre.
