    Assessments

    • Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple-choice questions, extended response.

    • Practical skills assessments: demonstrations under observation.

    Work placement

    Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

    • There is no work placement requirement for apprentices taking this qualification, as you will gain your experience on-the-job with your employer.

    • Non-apprentices will need to be in either relevant employment or have access to appropriate simulated workplace environments to complete the learning and assessment requirements.

    To complete this course, the following materials are required:

    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Safety Steel Capped Boots, Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and Dust Mask (P2 minimum) at an estimated cost of $250
      Stationery and ring binder folder at an estimated cost of $10

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental stonemasonry) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 30 units of competency, including 21 core and 9 speciality units.
