Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple choice
Practical skills assessments: demonstrations under observation
Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.
There is no work placement requirement for this qualification. As an apprentice, you will gain your experience on-the-job with your employer.
If you are enrolling as a non-apprentice, you need to be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate simulated workplace environments in order to meet the course completion requirements.
To complete this course, the following materials are required:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel-capped boots, safety glasses, hearing protection and a P2 dust mask or respirator at an estimated cost of $150 to $200

Must be over 21 years of age as evidenced by a copy of your identification
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 20 units of competency, including 17 core and 3 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
Learn in person, on a TAFE NSW campus. Depending on your course, your classroom could include purpose-built spaces like art studios, mechanical workshops, laboratories or bakeries. When you study on campus, you will receive a timetable of when you need to be on campus to attend.
