    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • ability to use hand tools such as drills and hammers

    • willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces

    • literacy and maths skills at an Australian Year 10 level

    • intermediate fitness to manage physical tasks such as shovelling, moving surveying equipment and walking long distances

    • teamwork and collaboration skills

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Civil Construction qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 10 core and 6 speciality units.
