    TAFE NSW higher education fees

TAFE NSW is an accredited higher education provider offering a range of higher education programs, including:

    • higher education diplomas
    • associate degrees
    • bachelor’s degrees
    • postgraduate certificates
    • postgraduate diplomas.

The cost of a course depends on the subjects that make up the course. To calculate your course cost, download the tuition fee schedule to see the cost of each subject:

You’ll be charged for the subjects you enrol in each semester. All TAFE NSW fees are reviewed annually and may change.

    Commonwealth Supported Places

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) may be available for your TAFE NSW higher education course.

If you’re offered a CSP, the Australian Government pays for part of your study costs. You’ll pay the remaining amount, known as the student contribution amount. You may also be eligible for a HECS-HELP loan to cover this cost.

TAFE NSW offers a limited number of CSPs in some courses. You can check your course information to see if CSPs are available before you enrol. Currently the CSP funding is available for HE20610 Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (Birth-5).

    Check your CSP eligibility

You may be eligible for a CSP if you meet the citizenship or residency requirements. You can use the eligibility tool before applying.

Being eligible for a CSP does not guarantee you’ll be offered one. You must also meet the entry requirements set by TAFE NSW for your application to be considered for a CSP.

    HECS-HELP

If you’re offered a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), you may also be eligible for a HECS‑HELP loan.

A HECS‑HELP loan helps you pay your student contribution amount. The Australian Government pays this amount to TAFE NSW on your behalf. You don’t start repaying the loan until your income reaches the repayment threshold.

    Check your HECS-HELP eligibility

The eligibility criteria for CSPs and HECS-HELP are different. You can check the Study Assist HECS-HELP page for the most up‑to‑date information about HECS‑HELP eligibility.

    Paying your fees

When you study a TAFE NSW higher education course, you may be eligible for a FEE‑HELP loan from the Australian Government. A FEE‑HELP loan can help cover your course fees, either in full or in part.

If you’re enrolling in a vocational education and training (VET) course, you can find your fee details on the VET Student Loans page.

If you’re an international student, you can find your fee details on the TAFE NSW International non-intuition fees and costs page.
