At TAFE NSW, we have different payment options to help you with your course fees. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be eligible for financial assistance.

    Estimate your course fee

To know how much your course will cost, follow these steps for a fee estimate:

    1. Find a course

    2. Choose the location

    3. Select your preferred study option

    4. Scroll down to view the ‘fee details' section.

Please note that the fee estimate is not a guarantee.

Ways you can pay your fees

At TAFE NSW there are a number of funding and financial assistance programs to help with your study costs.

    These include:

    How to pay

If you are not an international student, you can pay your fees directly to TAFE NSW. A third party, such as your employer, can also pay them on your behalf.

Payments can be made via credit card or BPay.

Please note that cash is not accepted.

Payments for most of our courses can be made using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard):

    • over the phone

    • through the student portal

    • face-to-face at a campus

    • via BPay, by generating a fee statement/invoice notice through the student portal.

Paying for Non-Nationally Recognised (NNR) courses

Payments for some NNR courses can only be made through the student portal, using a credit card, or via BPay.

    Please note

All BPay payments must be made at least 3 days before your course starts. This is to ensure your payment is received before the first day of your course.

    Instalment plans

For some TAFE NSW courses that are three months or longer, instalment plans are available. You can opt into an instalment plan during the enrolment process.

To confirm your enrolment in a course an initial first payment is required. The amount to be paid will depend on your individual circumstances. The number of instalments payable will depend on the length of the course.

Instalments can be paid by you or by your nominated third party.

    Outstanding fees

If your circumstances have changed and you are having trouble paying your fees, contact us.

If your fees are outstanding, you may be not be able to access your course or materials and this may delay your studies.

Let us know as soon as possible as there may be a number of payment options available. We can guide you through the process and help you apply.

    Third-party payments

If your employer or nominated third party stops paying your fees, you will be responsible for paying them. This is a requirement of your enrolment and is needed to continue your study.

    For more information, contact us.

    Refunds and withdrawals

If you need to withdraw or defer your study, speak with your teacher first. You will also need to complete the relevant forms at your campus.
