  • This course offering is designed for people who:

    • have completed the Certificate II in Animal Studies or higher.
    • have secured suitable work placement
    • have high levels of literacy, numeracy and good communication skills
  • The screening process included, written application questions, submission of a workplace checklist, literacy & numeracy screening and an interview. This may take several weeks to complete.

  • To successfully complete this course, you will need:

    • to be self directed in your learning
    • have good Internet Access
    • be comfortable typing, using the Internet and email, chatting to your teachers or others online, reading course content online, using common software and uploading your assessments including video files.

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 21 units of competency, including 17 core and 4 speciality units.

Course delivery Studying Online

Choose when and where you study. Set your own pace, with all your study materials online, allowing you to manage your own workload. Access your learning management system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a highly collaborative space that involves more than simply reading and consuming.

You will interact creatively with content, teachers and your peers, improving your overall engagement with the course. Teaching staff are available to provide you with support, enabling you meet your course outcomes.

You may need to attend a vocational placement, on campus assessment and/or a teacher might need to observe and assess you in a real or simulated environment. Online courses require access to a computer with an internet connection.
