IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

  • Completed Year 12 (HSC) or
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a part of a team
  • Access to a computer with a reliable internet connection
  • Possess the skills to use basic features of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • The ability to use data to develop and analyse marketing strategies
  • An interest in evolving trends in marketing and social media
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level

This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs, to design an individualised plan that supports your study success and ensures your LLN skills match the demands of the course.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

With 130 locations across the state, TAFE NSW tailors qualifications to meet the needs of the local community and specific student groups (like apprentices, fast-tracked and online students). To make sure this course is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

To successfully complete this qualification you will need to demonstrate skills in some assessments. This will require you to organise and participate in a number of role plays which you may be asked to video-record and submit for marking.
You will need to:

  • have access to recording equipment such as a camera or smart phone
  • source adult colleagues, friends or family members who are available and willing to participate in your recorded role plays. Please note, TAFE Digital does not provide participants for your role plays.

Please be aware that recordings will be retained by TAFENSW for audit purposes.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a self-paced, online course. You must attend approximately 7 hours of class. You may also be required to complete approximately 3 hours of additional study. This additional study could include private study, work placements and research.

The course will run for 18 months.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
