    Assessments

    Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development.

    • Knowledge assessments: multiple choice, true or false and short answer questions

    • Skills assessments: role-play scenarios, group work activities, presentations and demonstrations under observation

    • Case studies: case-study scenarios and reflection

    Work placement

    Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

    • To be enrolled in this course offering, you need to be able to meet the following work placement requirements:

      • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer work (Due to potential impacts of COVID 19, there may be a delay or modification in being able to undertake these volunteer hours in the planned timeframe. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way)
      • You will need to provide a current Working With Children Clearance and a National Police Check. You will be required to obtain these documents and submit to your teacher by Thursday 8th April 2022.

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Community Services qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 12 units of competency, including 5 core and 7 speciality units.
