    Work placement

    Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

    • During your course you will undertake a mandatory 480 hours of work placement with a suitable industry employer.

    • You are responsible for arranging your own work placement.

    • Our team can offer support and a letter of introduction including your enrolment dates, the TAFE NSW insurance policy, the responsibilities of your employer, a risk assessment form and a work placement guide to help you find the right workplace and support you in your work placement experience.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 21 units of competency, including 17 core and 4 speciality units.
