    Work placement

    Work placement gives you real experience and develops your skills.

    • Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

    • If you are enrolling as a TVET student, you will undertake a mandatory 10 days of work placement with a suitable industry employer. If you are not a TVET student, you are not required to undertake work placement.

    Units taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 410 Weighting points, including 270 core and 140 speciality units.
