Work placement

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

  • Work experience provides you with exposure to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment.

  • Mandatory work placement is not required in this course however, we strongly recommend you undertake work experience with a suitable industry employer.

To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

  • Learners are required to confirm their identity by presenting photographic/or video evidence where they hold their driver license or other form of ID close to their face whilst demonstrating practical skills.

  • Assessors will verify accuracy of the evidence provided by the learner and the report from the third-party referee (licenced game harvester). The licensed Game Harvester must act as a workplace referee or third-party (field depot or wild game processing premises) and provide a report on learner's performance. The Licensed Game harvester will confirm this on the third-party report stating it is the student and that they have undertaken the practical skills required. The licensed game harvester will add their details such as name, license number and region on the report.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Statement of Attainment in Harvesting Wild Game Animals qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 5 units of competency, including 5 core and 0 speciality units.

Course delivery Studying Online

Choose when and where you study. Set your own pace, with all your study materials online, allowing you to manage your own workload. Access your learning management system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a highly collaborative space that involves more than simply reading and consuming.

You may need to attend a vocational placement, on campus assessment and/or a teacher might need to observe and assess you in a real or simulated environment. Online courses require access to a computer with an internet connection.
