To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
An intention to enter one of the following industries: film, video and television, radio, journalism, animation, specialist make-up, special effects, content creation or gaming
An interest or experience in creative media, including self-taught experience or studies at school
Some ability to draw or illustrate
Basic computer skills to learn use new software
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Screen and Media qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 11 Units of competency, including 3 core and 8 speciality units.
