Some courses require evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol.
A Certificate IV in Information Technology (Gaming Development) or its equivalent, as evidenced by a copy of your transcript, or
That you have the appropriate skills and knowledge in developing 3D games and drawing game art, as evidenced by a teacher-assessed interview. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for your interview.
To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:
Access to a personal computer outside of TAFE NSW that can run and support industry standard 3D software and game engine platforms
If you are studying online, a portable Hard Disk Drive (HDD) (at least 500 GB)
You take charge of your learning and can finish tasks on time, by yourself.
You can read longer texts and understand their main ideas.
You can write longer paragraphs and texts that explain your ideas clearly.
You can join group talks and share your ideas clearly.
You can use maths to work out more detailed problems in different settings.
You can use digital tools to do everyday tasks like writing or finding info.

During your study, you'll need to meet specific requirements to complete your coursework. Your teacher will let you know when you need to provide evidence of:
A Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test and achieve a score of 4 across the five bands of literacy and 4 across one band of numeracy. This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs and to provide you with the appropriate support for your study success.
Complete your application through our online portal. A teacher will assess your application to offer you a place if you meet the entry requirements for the course.
