    The annual TAFE NSW Gili Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as the innovative programs of TAFE NSW staff members to help empower First Nations people and communities.

    Aboriginal student support

    TAFE NSW Aboriginal Student Support Officers provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the areas of advocacy, cultural safety and awareness including:

    • Helping you connect to with mob through culturally safe spaces and yarning circles
    • Connecting you to on-country delivery of courses
    • Support for all Aboriginal students, whether you're online or on-campus
    • Advocating for specific cultural commitments
    • Helping to connect you to other support services specific to your needs
