Interstate general pathways

Students seated in rows actively participate in a classroom session, with one student raising a hand while the teacher stands at the front near a whiteboard, gesturing and holding papers during the lesson.

TAFE NSW helps students from other states get training with government support. Apprentices and trainees cannot apply. If you’re one, visit our interstate apprenticeships and traineeships page. Check if you’re eligible, see what funding your state offers and follow the links to find out more.

    Additional requirements

You must meet the general eligibility requirements to access subsidised training. Check the interstate student pathways page for details. You cannot study at high school.

Note: You must meet your home state’s specific requirements to access funding. Check your state’s guidelines before you apply.

    South Australia

In South Australia, SkillsSA helps students get skills for jobs in growing industries. The state government allows TAFE NSW to provide training through SkillsSA. The program helps students who qualify pay less for their training. This support makes it easier to finish their course.
