You must meet the general eligibility requirements to access subsidised training. Check the interstate student pathways page for details. You cannot study at high school.

In Queensland, you can get subsidised training via Career Start and Career Boost. The Queensland Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) runs these programs. They help eligible students pay less for training. Check your eligibility on the Queensland Government website.
This program helps you gain entry-level skills to get job-ready. You can take courses at Certificate II and III levels.
This program helps you build higher-level skills. You can upskill, advance your career or get ready for further study. You can access Certificate IV qualifications and above.
Note: To qualify, you must not have completed a qualification at the same or higher level in the last 10 years. This excludes high school and foundation skills qualifications.
In South Australia, SkillsSA helps students get skills for jobs in growing industries. The state government allows TAFE NSW to provide training through SkillsSA. The program helps students who qualify pay less for their training. This support makes it easier to finish their course.
