To access subsidised training through your home state's program, you need to meet general eligibility requirements. See the interstate student pathways page for details. You’re not eligible to apply if you’re still in high school.

In Queensland, you can get subsidised training via Career Start and Career Boost. The Queensland Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) runs these programs. They contribute a subsidy towards the total cost of training for eligible students. Check your eligibility on the Queensland Government website.
This program helps job seekers with entry-level training. It covers Certificate II and III courses in priority and emerging industries.
This program offers higher-level training. It includes Certificate IV courses and above. It supports development of advanced skills, career progression or further study.
Note: To qualify, you must not have completed a qualification at the same or higher level in the last 10 years. This excludes high school and foundation skills qualifications.
SkillsSA helps South Australian students gain skills for jobs in growing industries. Eligible students may receive a subsidy toward the cost of training at TAFE NSW for approved courses.
