TAFE NSW welcomes new students every day. If you’re not loving your course, make the change and transfer from university or your current program, to TAFE NSW. To help avoid any financial or academic penalties, make sure that your course transfer occurs prior to your university course census date.

If university is not going as you expected, making the switch to TAFE NSW is as easy as following these simple steps.

  1. Contact your current institution for information on how to withdraw from your course. To avoid academic or financial penalty, you'll need to do this before your previous education provider's census date.
  2. Find a course that interests you. To apply, read the entry requirements on the course page and double check that there is an intake for the semester in which you want to start studying.
  3. Click on the "Enrol" or "Apply" button on the course location page, to kick off the enrolment or application process.
  4. Accept your offer.

Yes. If you have completed part of a university degree and wish to complete your studies in a TAFE NSW degree program, you may be eligible for credit for the subjects you have completed at university. You should provide a copy of your university transcript of academic record to the course coordinator, so that they can determine what you can get credit for.
