This course is currently scheduled on Monday with morning classes, Tuesday with evening classes and Thursday and Friday with day classes. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development.
Knowledge assessments: short answer, multiple-choice questions.
Skills assessments: case studies.
Practical skills assessments: demonstrations under observation.
Submission of a logbook.
Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
Complete a total of 36 complete service periods in an operational hospitality environment on your TAFE NSW campus
returning to campus to finish service periods (which may extend your course) or
paid work, such as traineeships or part-time jobs within the industry or
unpaid work experience.
To complete this course, the following materials are required:
Hospitality Uniform consisting of black tailored pants or skirt, long sleeved black shirt and enclosed shoes approximately: $90.00

There are no additional requirements for this qualification.
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Hospitality qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 units of competency, including 6 core and 9 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
Learn in person, on a TAFE NSW campus. Depending on your course, your classroom could include purpose-built spaces like art studios, mechanical workshops, laboratories or bakeries. When you study on campus, you will receive a timetable of when you need to be on campus to attend.
