Gain the specialist skills and knowledge required to complete a professional evaluation of wine. Learn about wine production, the role of a sommelier, and food and wine pairings as you explore and taste a variety of Australian wine styles.
During this course you'll learn to:
Explore Australian wine styles and the basics of wine production
Use sensory evaluation techniques to identify key grape varieties and wine styles
Recognise and describe common wine faults
Communicate essential information about different wine styles
Match food and wine to enhance flavour and dining experiences
Understand the role of a sommelier including wine list development and service standards
