    To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

    • HLTAIN001 (Assist with nursing care in an acute care environment): Student would have an option to choose and complete this elective unit which requires completion of 80 hours in an acute care environment (i.e. Hospital settings ONLY). Student is required to organise their own work placement and the chosen healthcare facility to complete this work placement unit must be approved by the TAFE Digital course teacher. Please contact the teaching section on 02 9715 8538 for more information on this.

    • An interest in helping people

    • The ability to work independently and in a team

    • Good organisation and time management skills

    • Good verbal and written communication skills

    • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at the equivalence of Year 10 high school level.

    Completion requirements

    During your study, you'll need to meet specific requirements to complete your coursework. Your teacher will let you know when you need to provide evidence of:

    • Certain aspects of your assessments rely on your physical ability to perform two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and infant manikin at floor level and respond to an emergency where there may be a risk to life. You must meet these physical requirements to be able to complete this course.

    • Working with Children Check (WWCC)

    • Australian National Police Record Check (NPC)

    • NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)

    • Vaccination and health screenings

    • Any additional evidence your work placement provider requires
