    Learning outcomes

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Identify and demonstrate knowledge of the basic functions of operating system including file system, memory management, process scheduling

    • Install, configure and test operating systems using install components and boot-utility options

    • Provide a centrally controlled username and password using Identity Management and Access Control Technology

    • Control access to information

    • Carry out and restore systems back up

    • Apply security access controls
