The Bachelor of Applied Commerce is a three year degree for people who want to work in the financial services sector. You can select to major in accounting or financial planning, or you can do a double major.
Not only has this course been developed in consultation with industry to ensure you get the knowledge and skills that employers want, you will do an industry placement in third year which will give you practical experience in a workplace setting, and helps you establish valuable industry contacts.
Careers in the financial services sector are diverse and graduates can find themselves working in a variety of settings depending on which major they have completed. By doing some additional subjects, students can graduate with a double major - accounting and financial planning.

- Academic IELTS 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0 or one of the following:
- Pearson Tests of English (PTE) Academic overall score of 58 and a minimum score of 50 in each component
- TOEFL (iBT) with the following minimum scores: overall 79, reading 19,listening 20,speaking 20 and writing 20
- Certificate IV qualification in a relevant area
- Completion of Diploma of Applied Commerce (HE20515)
- Year 12 from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or the USA

COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS
To receive the Bachelor of Applied Commerce - Financial Planning Major students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.
Note: Additional units contain compulsory and elective units which may vary between each semester and campus, and will depend on a number of considerations including the packaging rules for the qualification and demand for the unit.CORE UNITS ADDITIONAL UNITS
Graduates of the Diploma of Applied Commerce (HE20515) will be entitled to credit for eight subjects in the Bachelor of Applied Commerce and will be able to complete the degree in 2 years.
Graduates of the Diploma of Financial Planning (R10735) will be entitled to credit for two subjects in the Bachelor of Applied Commerce.
Students who have completed the first year of the Bachelor of Business (HE20514) will be entitled to credit for four subjects in the Bachelor of Applied Commerce.
Course fees and duration can vary based on the Institute you want to study at, the entry requirements for the course, and the year you will begin study.
Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from A$300 - $1,000 per course.

TAFE NSW allows for two or more courses to be packaged together leading to a TAFE NSW Bachelor Degree, either to meet the prerequisite requirements for a course or to plan your studies around your career goals. You can submit a single TAFE NSW application form and will be able to apply for one Student Visa for the full duration of the package.
