    • Meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
    • Have significant amount of work experience in hairdressing or barbering trade area
    • Provide any credit transfers from relevant previous study or recognition of prior learning from Relevant work place experience.
    • Meet the local level requirement of an ACFFS level 3 for this qualification
    • Attend a pre-enrolment RPL interview

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 28 units of competency, including 21 core and 7 speciality units.

Meadowbank

While it is home to one of only two Cisco Academy Training Centres in the Australasia Pacific region, TAFE NSW Meadowbank also features hair, beauty and massage clinics as well as a sports and fitness centre, all designed to give students access to real-world on-the-job training. Additionally, TAFE NSW and the NSW Department of Education are working together to create the Meadowbank Education Precinct, which will see students able to follow an educational pathway from kindergarten, right through to completing a bachelor degree or diploma at TAFE NSW.
