To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:
Strong communication
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Planning and organisational skills to coordinate construction
Maths skills at a Year 12 or equivalent level
Confidence using a computer

TAFE NSW may ask you to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills test.
This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs, to design an individualised plan that supports your study success and ensures your LLN skills match the demands of the course.
During your study, you'll need to meet specific requirements to complete your coursework. Your teacher will let you know when you need to provide evidence of:
A general construction induction card (commonly known as a white card) – you will need this before you can enter a construction site. You can gain your white card during this course in the specialty unit CPCCWHS1001, or at a TAFE NSW campus that has an accredited work cover assessor.
You will need to provide evidence for the Entry Requirements listed above.
